This chin surgery is recommended when a patient's profile is considered as unaesthetic because the chin is not in proportion with the rest of the face.
Procedure :
When the chin is receding, a silicone implant will have to be inserted through a small incision of 2 to 3 centimetres under the chin. |
Post-surgery :
You will experience some swelling of the cheeks and lips, but the pain should not be too severe, and can be treated with some analgesics.
The stitches will be removed within a week and the scar will gradually fade into a thin white line.
